November 17: a truly special day
Today is National Adoption Day--a day dedicated to raising awareness of the thousands of children in U.S. foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families. In 2006, all 50 states with hundreds of courts and communities across the nation came together to finalize more than 3,300 adoptions of children from our nation’s foster care system. This day brought together numerous lawmakers, judges, attorneys, adoption agencies, and adoption professionals, who are dedicated to creating forever families for waiting children.

Thanks for the updates! Won't it be cool someday for your new son to look back at this blog and see what was going on in your lives as you were waiting to adopt him. And what a coincidence that his birthday is on National Adoption Day. These photos of the before and after house face lift really show it off well!! It looks really nice. You might want to mention to Bob that my kitchen cabinets need painting (now that he has experience he should put it to good use). Happy Thanksgiving to both of you and your little Kazman!! Next year, we'll celebrate with him. XO Rochelle
