Bye, bye Astana. Hello Uralsk. Our dossier officially arrived in the region today. All 33 documents made it through the scrutiny of two ministries. Yaaaay. Next it goes to the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Uralsk. (Yes, there are two MOE's—one in Uralsk and one in Astana.) From there, we'll be sent a Letter of Invitation (LOI), which will give us the green light to apply for travel visas. So, how long will this take? Who knows, but we're closer to hugging our son (or daughter) today than we were yesterday.
Life is good. (Even at 30 below zero.)

Now that is some awesome news. Lets hope it moves quickly and you get your LOI, maybe we will all be in country and Almaty the same time.
Sending you happy thoughts.

YAY!! Shouldn't be too long now. :)
Yay! So glad to hear the good news! Hopefully it won't be too long now. We loved Uralsk.
Congratulations!
We're there too! But we have to wait until spring to travel due to my husband's job (he's an accountant and can't be gone for that long right now).
We are eager to follow your journey to Uralsk!

We are invited to travel April 5,(we requested not before April 1) but we will need to confirm mid-March that there are children available. We requested a girl under 18 months.
