The only computer at our internet cafe, which takes CDs is out of service, so again no photos today. Instead I thought I'd share Nurlan's daily schedule:
7:30-8:00 Wake-up time
8:10-8:20 Morning exercise
8:20-8:30 Wash, brush teeth
8:30-9:00 Breakfast cereal (either rice, semolina, wheat, bucketwheat, millet or porridge) and hot tea (chi)
9:00-9:15 Independent children's activity
9:15-10:20 Classes (children under seven don't attend regular school)
10:30-12:15 Walk (We visit with Nurlan during this time so he misses a part of this activity)
12:25-13:05 Lunch soup (either noodle, pea, chicken or cabbage), the main meal (either fried potatoes with a cutlet, macaroni with sauce or boiled potatoes, meat and buckwheat with sauce) and juice (stewed fruit)
13:05-14:10 Wash face and hands (is it me or does this seem like a long time to wash little faces and hands? FYI: Fridays are shower day)
14:10-15:30 Sleep
15:30-15:45 Wake up, toughening up (translation: exercise), washing
15:45-16:00 Afternoon tea pastry, fruit and cocoa or juice
16:00-16:50 One-on-one time with child, games, independent artistic activity (this is when our second visit occurs)
16:50-17:00 Preparation for walk
17:00-18:30 Walk
18:00-18:40 Return from walk
18:40-19:00 Washing face and hands
19:00-19:30 Dinner spaghetti with sauce or macaroni with eggs or an omelette and chi
19:30-20:30 Viewing of cartoons and children's TV programs
20:30-20:40 Supper crackers, fruit and juice (yogurt or yogurt drink)
20:40-20:55 Washing
21:00-8:00 Sleep
Quite the routine, huh? Makes you wonder how we'll ever manage to keep up.

Wow,. are you going to get recepies for any of those meals? I'm goin gto try to get recepies from the orphanage. I can't imagine that they're 5-star meals but they are home to our children. Like my crazy conconctions!

What a routine, and so structured. You will do great keeping up. Congrats about the package!
Sounds like a very full day filled with lots of activities. At least you know he is never really just "sitting around."

Well, I don't know anyone keeps up with the "toughening up" routine! What a funny expression! Although this is what he knows now, I'm sure his world will be rocked once you get home and introduce him to hot dogs and McDonalds. You'll be great parents!
It's so interesting to see the schedule and the amount of time they spend doing certain activities.
